With the departure of Valentino Rossi to Yamaha Biaggi
was one of Honda's main challengers and a sure favourite for glory in 2004.
Starting the season fiercely (2x 2nd, 2x 3rd) the Italian mastered his private RCV in
style, battling major duels with Rossi and Gibernau.
Nevertheless the GP's of Catalunya and Holland proved to be the flipside of succes with
two dissapointing results.
In Brazil the Camel boys looked refreshed, taking the double and Biaggi scored his first
win of the season in Germany, one in magnificent style.
The RCV proved to be a tough bike to set up and a series of very poor GP's followed until
the Malaysian GP where Max returned hard with a deserved second place. The Australian GP was quite difficult but the Roman
finished the season on a high note in Valencia, in second place ending up third overall with 217 points.
